LYEN Launches Advanced R&D Base in Changshu​​

LYEN has officially opened its new R&D and manufacturing base in Changshu, China, marking astrategic step forward in the company’s commitment to advancing marine propulsion technology. The first phase of the facility includes 18,000 square meters of high-standard factory (with total planned area of 33,335 sqm), featuring advanced manufacturing equipment, testing facilities, a dedicated R&D center, and office space. This milestone strengthens LYEN’s capabilities in developing and producing marine propulsion systems.

Investment in Localized Production & Innovation

The new baseintegrates R&D, intelligent manufacturing, and product testing to support LYEN’s goal of delivering more efficient and sustainable propulsion solutions.The production facilities house precision assembly lines, quality control centers, and testing platforms, while the R&D center is equipped with tools for developing next-generation propulsion technologies.

‘This base allows us to better serve customer needs with faster response times and more reliable,eco-friendly propulsion systems,’ said a LYEN senior engineer. ‘It’s a key investment in localized production and innovation.’

AdvancingHigh-Performance Propulsion Technology

LYEN’s new facilitywill focus on advancing core technologies such as controllable pitch propellers (CPP), thrusters, azimuth thrusters, and retractable azimuth thrusters—criticalfor modern vessels. The site will also support R&D in remote control systems and energy-saving solutions, while offering full life cycle services including design support and after-sales maintenance.

Strategic Location for Global Reach

Located in theYangtze River Delta—a hub for marine industry supply chains and logistics—Changshu provides ideal access to both domestic and international markets.
