Setting Sail: LYEN Supports 'FUYUANYU 9199' on Its Antarctic Journey

On September 20th, the 'FUYUANYU 9199', China's largest professional Antarctic krill fishing vessel to date, was successfully launched. The vessel is designed according to the most advanced international krill fishing vessel technical standards, has the ability to sailin a small amount of polar ice floe or thin ice area, and has obtained the additional mark of Ice Class B1 hull, which can cope with the complex sea conditions and low temperature environment of the Antarctic ice area.

LYEN provided the vessel’s main propellers (CPP, 9280kw, 5000mm diameter), tunnel thrusters (800kw, 1850mm diameter), and remote-control systems for the main/tunnel/retractable thrusters. LYEN’s in-depthexperience in ice-class ensures stable navigation and efficient operationin harsh polar environments, further improving the overall performance and safety of the vessel.
