LYEN Successfully Completes FAT for CPP Shafting System on JX-793 Command & Measurement Ship, Supporting Commercial Space Launch Missions

LYEN Marine Propulsion’s Changshu manufacturing facility has recently achieved a significant milestone — the CPP shafting system developed and supplied for the JX-793 Command & Measurement Ship, built by Jiangxi Jiangxin Shipyard, has successfully passed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT).


The vessel will ultimately serve Hainan International Commercial Aerospace Launch Co., Ltd., marking LYEN’s first collaboration with the company and demonstrating the company’s growing capability in supporting high-reliability marine applications for the commercial aerospace sector.


The project was designed by the 701 Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC). LYEN was responsible for the research, development, manufacturing, and supply of the CPP shafting system. The equipment is scheduled for final delivery this month.

Supporting National Aerospace Missions with High-Reliability Propulsion Solutions

The JX-793 Command & Measurement Ship is a specialized vessel designed to support commercial aerospace launch missions in China. As a maritime command and tracking platform, the vessel is required to perform critical functions including spacecraft and launch vehicle tracking, telemetry, communications, and command operations under complex offshore conditions.


Such demanding missions place extremely high requirements on the vessel’s maneuverability, seaworthiness, stability, and long-duration operational capability. The propulsion system, as one of the vessel’s core systems, plays a vital role in ensuring mission success.


As a key component of the propulsion system, the CPP shafting system directly impacts the vessel’s operational performance through its reliability, control accuracy, and long-term stability. In response to the project’s specialized application requirements, LYEN’s technical team implemented strict standards throughout the entire process, including product design, material selection, manufacturing, and quality control, ensuring the system meets the stringent requirements of aerospace-support vessels.

The CPP shafting system for this project was fully manufactured, assembled, and tested at LYEN’s Changshu facility. The factory operates under a comprehensive quality management system, ensuring strict process control and full traceability throughout every stage of production.

The successful completion of the FAT not only demonstrates the reliability and quality of the delivered equipment but also further validates LYEN’s capabilities in marine propulsion system design, manufacturing, and system integration.
