LYEN PSF consists of a modified propeller boss cap with fins. The number of fins is the same as that of propeller blades, and it rotates together with the propeller. These fins can reduce or eliminate the propeller hub vortex, which can improve the propulsion efficiency.

LYEN Pre-duct is positioned ahead of the propeller fixed to the ship’s hull, including one partial circular duct and 2~6 fins. The partial circular duct can accelerate the flow through the propeller plane, which can improve the propulsion efficiency. The Fins can produce the favorable asymmetric inflow (tangential velocity) to the propeller, which can reduce the rotational losses.
